Evidence shows that hypnotherapy can reduce chronic bloating, equivalent to using a highly-restrictive low-fibre (low-FODMAP) diet. I've done this diet and let me tell you- it's not that fun, and sorry to break it to you- is not a viable long-term solution for microbiome health.
We know that people who experience painful bloating have higher visceral hypersensitivity (nervous system reactivity). But why?
Likely learned hypervigilance and/or high toxin load.
The solution?
